The God of The Breakthrough
As an active member of the armed forces, I had so desired that the Lord would make provision that I benefit from the available scholarship program for my education. In the line of duty, I work in a Hospital where I have hundreds of samples go through my hands everyday. About the first week of this month, there was a misunderstanding in one of the specimen that was processed, and there was a false claim that I refused to perform my job. The accusation further said that I had prioritized my schooling to my job, which in the “military world”, the reverse should be the case. This was about to cost my educational privilege. Before this incidence, I had submitted a written request for my summer classes, which after the occurrence, my supervisor called me and explained that he would have to disapprove the request because of that recent incidence. According to the policy, the request has to go up the chain of command, and it is almost predictable that when your immediate supervisor denies your request, the others would follow the same train.
Well, after I received the information, I went back home and just decided to go into a realm of a high praise. The next day, I decided to talk to my supervisor again to see if he could change his mind before the request would get to the others in the chain. It was too late at the time I called; I began to ponder over where I was going to source for my tuition. I didn’t want to stay out of school that summer; I just had to find money somehow. A few days later, the head of the department who basically has the final say on approval or disapproval called and said he wanted to speak with me. By this time, five (5) people had already denied my request – I didn’t think it was going to work. When I went into the department head’s office, he sat me down and brought out my request form. He said he had seen my request and all the people who did not recommend me for the scholarship. He went on to say that he didn’t know me that well to make such decisions and that he was not going to base his own decision on other peoples’ judgments. At this point my heart rate had increased but it even went faster when he finally said that he was going to approve me for the scholarship. I was humbled with a smile, but my humility turned into some Holy Ghost shout as soon as I had my back facing his office door. It didn’t matter what every other person said, all I needed was the right signature from the right person, and it would not matter how many disapprove of you, all you need is contact with the right person. It is all favor and there is nothing anyone or anything can do against it.
